Peggy's Cove

September 12, 2018
Day trip to Peggy's Cove
Woodhaven RV Park,  Bedford, NS

What  great photo views are available at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.

There is no doubt about it...it is a tourist haven.  Peggy's Cove is a rather small area but Dad was able to secure parking.  You can easily walk from the light house
to the last shop
as the road is quite short, but curvy as it wraps around the cove.  There was a gentleman in a bright reflector vest who was had the job of keeping the walking tourists from getting run over by the traffic....especially by the large charter buses... where there is no side of the road for pedestrians to walk on ...on a curve no less.  He told Momma that they had 97 buses yesterday.  EGADS!!
I'm sure they must have a schedule of some sort as there is definitely not enough parking space for all of them at one time....not even a dozen at a time.  And then there are all the cars, vans, trucks and even small class C campers. A busy place for sure.  There did appear to be a handful of homes in the area.

There was even a B n B but I'm not sure if you would want an extended stay, unless you were one of the artists trying to capture the views with paint and canvas or pencil and paper.  You can easily explore it all in part of a day.  But the views are enchanting for sure.  Can't picture it in winter though.  Up on the rocks with the wind and snow...brrrrr.

Just up the road is the Memorial for the Swiss Airflight 111 that crashed.  It also drew many tourists.

Momma said it was a good day for sure...much better than the day before.

I'm Chloe
