Arrival day in Halifax area
Momma said I had better come clean and admit that my curiosity got me in trouble....again. You see, while we were in New York, I got to go to Doggy Daycare to make new friends and have a play day with my friend Heidi,the white German Shepherd pup. The daycare is a 30 minute ride and Dad decided he really didn't want to wrestle my crate out of the rig and into the backseat of that powerful Dodge Ram with the marvelous Cummings engine that has been zipping us from state to state and providence to providence all summer climbing the hills and mountains without any effort. It was just a short trip. I had the whole back seat to myself. The seats fold down flat and I had a nice flat area to lay on. For some reason, Dad was thinking puppy=crate and he failed to pack the sling that they have used in the past. That meant that the 'under the front seat area' was open and accessible to me. That day, as I was bored with my short trip. My curious mind led me to some wires residing under the passenger seat. The driver was watching the road and the front passenger couldn't see my current interest behind/under that seat....and it was never discovered.... until Labor Day Weekend when Dad had time for a very thorough cleaning of the Ram. He also had time to mend the wires that I had chewed apart. Ooops😓 No one has figured out what the wires are for as everything still operated. I guess it could possibly be the rear sliding window??
Well, that led to another project seeing as we were parked for a couple of days. Momma dug out her sewing machine and crafted a new back seat sling.
