Woodhaven RV Park
Halifax, NS
Poor Dad. He didn't have any luck finding adequate parking. Not even by the Visitor Center in downtown Halifax. The ride into the waterfront area turned into just that....a random, no direction in mind ride around the Halifax waterfront and surrounding area. The original plan was to go to the Maritime Museum...but that didn't happen as you need to park and leave your vehicle somewhere. I guess if you knew the area, you would be alright. Or it you could get the the Visitor Center they would probably offer some tips. There was a parking garage but the Ram is a tad too tall for that and all the parking metered spot were occupied so they took in the sites from the front seat.
They passed a fresh seafood market on the way in and Momma marked that spot on the GPS so they wouldn't zip past it on the way out of the area. Fresh seafood dinner tonight. And they also stopped at a cute market on the outskirts. It was a combination garden shop and deli/market. Fresh veggies tonight as well.
This sunflower was next to the garden shop.
Yes, those are solar panels on the leaves and flower. Now that's a true 'sun' flower.
When Momma and Dad returned home, they thought a garbage truck had arrived but...
It is really an recreation vehicle/RV. Dad checked on the Internet and discovered the price tag is upwards of $500,000. This vehicle had a bumper sticker for Argentina as well as areas in Canada. There is a two step ladder to assist in entry to the vehicle. Top speed is 50 mph. It is designed for the 'back country'...but not garbage pickup. LOL
