Sugar Mill CG site 26
Ochlocknee, Ga
Wow! I really don't think those tariffs had anything to do with the prices we observed today in the downtown shops in Thomasville. Pam said she touched a scarf and quickly took her hand away when she saw the $250 price tag. No, I didn't forget a decimal point.
Add in the cost of the additional layers displayed and WOW! And Momma thoughts were who would want to wear that outfit in the first place...in other words...she didn't find it particularly attractive.By the time they finished perusing the gift shops and boutiques in the older/refurbished area of Thomasville, they were ready for a bite to eat at Jonah's Fish and Grits. Now if you have eaten there before, I'm certain you have memories of the hush puppies they serve when you are seated. To quote Steve, he remembers those hush puppies as being knock down delicious. And Dad says, Steve's memory is spot on. He told me he enjoyed every last bite.
Want to try one? Pam says it'll be a memorable experience. But so were the shrimp and grits. When the two legged returned to me, they were telling me how their timing was perfect. Even though it was a Tuesday, Jonah's was quite busy. They were seated without much of a wait, unlike the crowd of people gathered outside as they exited the restaurant. They wouldn't tell me if there were any of those finger licking tasty hush puppies in that to go box that they immediately hid away in our refrigerator. Too bad that refrigerator doesn't have a dog friendly, easy open latch.
Now after a filling lunch, who would have thought that they would take off once again this evening for blizzard desserts at Dairy Queen. I guess they were celebrating the rain-free weather we all enjoyed today...although I would have definitely enjoyed my game of ball chase even if it had been raining.
Having fun in Georgia!!
I'm Chloe
