Square Tires

May 29, 2019
Brunswick, GA to St. Matthew, SC

Now those tires sure look round to me but Momma kept talking about square tires soon after we crossed the state line from Georgia into South Carolina.  I was beginning to wish I had a seat belt to keep me from bouncing around so much.  I kept seeing Momma's head rising up over the seat as Dad steered us down the bumpy road.  I was wondering if Dad took us on an Alaskan road but then I heard Momma tell Dad that even the roads in Alaska weren't this rough when they were there.  Now, I wouldn't know about that as I wasn't even born yet for that excursion.  But I can certify that this strip of I-95 needs some smoothing out.  How am I suppose to sleep when my head keeps slamming up and down on my bed?

I guess all that bumping around was worth it because we are now at Grandma's (hee hee) house. Let me backtrack and explain that because Grandma is actually 2 months younger than Momma.  It all happened several years ago when Momma and Dad went to an Escapees Rally in Bushnell.  When they arrived at the registration desk, they were 'adopted' by Ted and Colleen who took them under their wing, made then feel welcome in the group and showed them 'the ropes'.  They even received an adoption certificate and picture.  I have to admit, you couldn't ask for nicer 'parents/grandparents'.

Well, we got a super greeting....I mean ALL of us.  Grandma LOVES me for sure and Grandpa even let me crawl up on his lap and share his chair.  Ahhhh.  What a life.  That is until they moved to the table and got out the games.  Oh well, I enjoy hearing all the friendly conversation and robust laughter.  Life is good!!

I'm Chloe
