Der Ruhe Blatz Motel, Shipshewana, Indiana
I am enchanted with that clip clop sound that I keep hearing. I perked my ears and then I spotted the source.....a horse a buggy zipping down the road. Every time I go out to potty, I can hear the clip clop. It can be so distracting that I forget why I am standing in the grass. Momma tells me to refocus....which I do....until I hear the clip clop of another horse and buggy. Man, they are all over the place! Hey, they get to poop in the road. What's up with that? They need a bigger bag than Momma carries to pick up that load!!
Nala Grace told me I had to make sure I was quiet while I am staying in the motel. I guess she must have told Dad as well because he didn't bring along any of my favorite 'noisy' toys. I do have some of my squeakers with me that I can play with during the day but even they get put up in the evening. At least I still have my crate, rug and my floor mat to make me feel 'at home'.
So I have been noticing some different smells on Dad's breath.
Especially after we stopped at Rise N Roll. Dad is in love with that place! I wish I could have gone inside. A bus pulled up and all these ladies kept getting off the bus and filing in the door. If I could have just gotten the truck door open, I could have gotten right in line with them and checked out the offerings first hand.
I could tell by Dad's breath that they had some sweet smelling treats. All I ever get is nuggets of dry dog food and if I'm real good....some freeze dried liver treats or mini bones. Hey Dad, they are MINI bones already. You don't have to break them in half any more. I'm getting to be a big girl.
Check me out.....with my noisy milk jug (with pebbles inside) toy. We went to The Depot Dog Park and I got to run...and run.... and I wore myself out!!
I'm not quite sure what happened to Momma today. She just doesn't look quite the same. Even Dad ...who never says anything said, "Wow, you sure are blonde!", when we picked her up today. She told Dad she even shared the color formula that her stylist at home uses. It must be something in the northern air. Maybe if I get her to roll in the mud at the dog park it will tone it down a bit. I wonder if she will glow tonight when the lights go out?
I just heard that we are coming back here. Michele and Eric from HIghland Ridge Service Center told Momma and Dad that the repair on the driver's side of the rig can be done this week BUT they decided that the door side, to be repaired properly, needs a WHOLE NEW WALL. It takes 5 weeks to make a wall so....we will be back June 25th for 2-3 weeks for repair of that side, Something about the flexing in the nose causing delamination of the wall and......well...anyway. To fix it right, the wall needs to be replaced to properly complete the repairs. Dad is pleased they decided not to 'cut corners' and will do the job the right way. I guess there is another motel stay in my future.
I'm Chloe
