I have to admit that I have been making great strides...leaps actually.... in training my parents. Just the other day, we were strolling through Camping World...well, it was hard to really stroll because everyone thought I was sooooo cute and they all wanted to stop and greet me. Anyway, I made sure we came home with a 'beaver' just for me. Camping World in Summerfield knows how to treat their 4 legged shoppers. They have all our shopping items right up front in the store while Dad's items were all the way in the back.
My beaver has the best squeaker in it. The first evening, I about wore out the squeaker. It was so much more interesting than that dumb movie my parents we trying to watch. I guess I still have some training to do to get them to tune into the National Geographic channel in the evenings. I'll bet NG even airs shows on real beavers in action!
Did you know all you have to do is pretend to wander a tad too far and you get treats? Just prance toward the front of the house and.....wait for it.....'Chloe, come!' ....and there it is. The treat call. And if you come at double time speed, you not only get a treat, you get pets and body scrubs as well. It works every time!! I had them trained before the first week ended.
Treats are also given out even though I enjoy chewing and chomping on my lead. For some unknown reason, my parents get all excited and all that comes out of their mouths is 'NO' but......all you need to do is squat and pee and the treats immediately appear. I guess you can have a good lead chew and a treat as well if you just produce a little tinkle...and I can tinkle every two hours easily.
It's a good thing there is lots of room to romp and race here so I can burn off all those extra treat calories. The FedX truck just delivered a big Chewy box loaded with all my favorite treats. I REALLY like the nice soft chicken bits best. Mom, Dad, make sure you stuff your pockets full. I KNOW how to empty your pockets. I have you trained!!
I'm Chloe💜
